SHANA TOVA UMETUKA

i would like to take a moment to wish everyone a shana tova umetuka: a healthy, happy and sweet new year. The Lubavitcher Rebbe once explained why we bless each other with a sweet new year rather than just a good new year. The answer is that good that comes from Above can sometimes come from a very high level and down here on the material plane, it can look negative to us.  So we wish each other a sweet new year: the good that is bestowed upon us this new year should be with an open revealed good that we can appreciate as good.

I also want to wish everyone a gemar chatima tova and an easy fast for Yom kippur. May all our prayers be answered for the good, and of course the most important prayer of all: the prayer for the Moshiach. This new Hebrew year is Tav Shin Pey which stands for "tehey shnat pedut" . It should be a year of pedut, redemption, both on a  personal level (redemption from all problems) and on a collective level, the complete redemption with Moshiach.

There are no political solutions to the problems of the world.  It is very important to understand that politics cannot solve world problems. We need Moshiach who we will usher in the era of peace and prosperity for all.
